Here's an exploded view of the module. It's 3kg and about the size of a loaf of bread. There are 2 redundant layers of waterproof sealing to prevent any water leaking onto the ISS. That little porthole was added late because the astronauts heard there were shrimp coming and they wanted to be able to peek at the aquarium themselves :)

I love space shrimp. its like a comedy joke and a scientist "hun i wonder if" and birth this beautiful masterpieace.
